Capabilities
Quality Mechanical operates two plasma cutters which are linked to our cad systems. This affords us exacting tolerances for our duct. We also have a full complement of presses and breaks, spiral rollers, duct lining equipment, etc…
Our duct fabrication service is available to both clients and other mechanical contractors. Competing mechanical contractors make up 5-10% of our duct sales.
Capability 1
Our advanced coil line rolls out different gauge sheet metal as called out by the cad systems; this material is cut and sent to one of two plasma cutters. At the plasma cutter, an arc of electricity scribes out in two dimensions the duct to be formed. Once cut, the sheet metal is formed into a three dimensional piece of duct, tagged and sent to the field for installation. This affords us immediate control of stock and ready field installation.
Capability 2
By fabricating our own duct, we can closely monitor the quality control, any duct damaged in the field is rapidly replaced. Any duct that does not meet our rigid tolerances is discarded to recycle bins and the duct is re-fabricated.
Capability 3
By maintaining an in-house sheet metal fabrication shop, Quality Mechanical can control production costs. We are typically unaffected by labor disputes, transportation disputes, etc.
